As a journalist he has written about bullfighters, prostitutes and cooking beef and has been published by national newspapers such as The Observer, Sunday Express, and the Daily Mirror as well as lifestyle magazines including FHM, Loaded and Nuts. His photography and features also regularly appear in travel magazines.

Later in the year, he will be making his screen debut in Brit gangster film Killer Bitch. He was the onset photographer and has also written music for the film.

After trying to master his fear of dogs by cycling to the south of Spain, he then worked there as editor of British ex-pat papers and also has several years of court reporting experience. Rick has travelled extensively in South America, Asia and Europe. Rick has taken himself from London to Hong Kong by boat, bus and train, has been shot at in Georgia, molested in a Turkish bath and bitten by an insect in Australia. He speaks French, Italian and Spanish, basic Greek, Russian and Hungarian. Rick went to university in Italy, Leicester and Hungary and unsuccessfully tried to escape from a police station when working as a teacher in Greece.

His photography is characterised by vivid colours and a search to capture life's more unusual characters. He is happiest when he is anywhere but London, where he grew up and grew bored.
